The region of FITOVINANY, a region detached from the merger known as: VATOVAVY FITOVINANY. The region became independent in 2020, bringing together the city of: Manakara, Vohipeno and Ikongo. . Both administrative and cultural delimitation is designed to highlight the identity and specificity of each entity. The separation is also held to give the inhabitants of the place an ease in terms of administrative movement while keeping this identity: the ANTEMORO ethnic group. The region is known for the vast beach of Manakara, a must-see tourist destination that has an extraordinary charm and attractive vegetation.
