Tourists are spoiled with every 335 km (from Ihosy) a new landscape sometimes mountainous, sometimes desert. Several sites in the Toliara region attract foreign and local tourists. Due to its climate dominated by a dry and strongly sunny wind for a large part of the year, Tulear has an exceptional flora whose beauty of some species sometimes exceeds the imaginable. For those who like to explore the local culture of the population, it should be noted that there are several interesting villages in Tulear to visit.  The best known is Sarodrano/St. Augustine. The latter is a former pirate hideout. It has now become a village occupied by the Vezo fishermen. The ancient hot spring of Bezaha, the nature reserve of Tsimanampetsotsa in Betioky, the tapestry workshops of Ampanihy and the beautiful lake of Ihotry also promise wonderful experiences for visitors who seize the chance to discover Tulear.
