Ambilobe
Ambilobe is a city in the province of Diego-Suarez , in the northern part of Madagascar . It is the capital of the Ambilobe District in the Diana Region . The city is an important crossroads in northern Madagascar, located on the national road 6, between Diégo-Suarez and Ambanja (toward Nosy Be ), as well as on the path that connects to the Indian Ocean coastal city , Vohémar . The city is also situated on the course of the Mahavavy River . Primarily focused on agriculture, the city is surrounded by sugar cane plantations and a cane processing plant: Sirama Ambilobe. It also hosts an important market for the region. Today a trend in the artisanal mining vocation due to the gold deposit of Andavakoera, Sapphire of Amondromifehy and the diamondoid of Antetezambato Ambanja
