Ambatolampy
Ambatolampy is an urban municipality in Madagascar , located in the southeastern part of the Vakinankaratra region . It is the seat of the neighborhood of the same name . The city is located on Route Nationale 7 between Antsirabe and Antananarivo , 68 km from the Malagasy capital, towards the south of the island.The name “Ambatolampy” comes from the term “Vatolampy” which means big rock, and is located in the time of the kingship east of Ambodivona or the present Ambatolampy-bas. There was visibly no large rock, but the existence of a granite mass can be seen lining the bottom of the bed of the small river called “morona” on the Ambodiriana side
